Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using the Medikue platform (“Platform”). It supplements the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.

Medikue is a product and brand of Longbyte Software Private Limited (“Longbyte”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Statements below about “Medikue” refer to the Platform and services Longbyte provides under that name.

1. Not medical advice or care

Medikue (provided by Longbyte) is a technology platform for outpatient queue management, booking, and payments. We do not:

  • Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Employ the doctors or hospitals listed on the Platform.
  • Guarantee clinical outcomes, appropriateness of care, or availability of any practitioner.

All medical decisions are between you and the hospital / treating clinician. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately — do not rely on the Platform for emergency care.

2. Hospital relationship

Hospitals are independent entities. Medikue:

  • Does not supervise clinical staff or hospital policies.
  • Does not set consultation fees (hospitals configure fees within Platform constraints).
  • Is not responsible for hospital cancellations, surgery schedules, staffing shortages, or on-site disputes.

Hospital-specific rules (check-in windows, documentation, prescriptions) may apply beyond what the Platform displays.

3. Queue and wait-time estimates

Estimated wait times (EWT) and queue positions are algorithmic estimates based on session data. They are not guarantees of when you will be seen. Delays may occur due to emergencies, doctor availability, diagnostics, or operational factors.

4. Payments and refunds

Payment processing uses Razorpay and banking networks. Medikue:

  • Initiates refunds per the Refund Policy when system rules apply.
  • Does not control how quickly banks or UPI issuers post credits.
  • Does not refund the platform convenience fee in any scenario.

Consultation fees may be held and settled to hospitals per Route transfer rules. This is not escrow; see the Refund Policy for hold and release behaviour.

If a refund fails technically, operations review may be required — contact support with your booking reference.

5. No special treatment by age or vulnerability

The Platform does not provide automated priority queue placement, fee waivers, or clinical pathways based on age (including children/minors or elderly patients). Any prioritisation at the facility is at the hospital’s sole discretion and may not be reflected in the app.

6. Technology limitations

The Platform may experience downtime, bugs, notification delays, or inaccurate displays. Features vary by hospital onboarding status (e.g. Razorpay linked account must be active for online consultation-fee collection).

QR codes and tokens can be misused if shared; protect your booking details.

7. Third-party services

Razorpay, SMS providers, push services, and cloud hosts operate under their own terms. Medikue is not liable for third-party outages or security incidents outside our reasonable control.

8. Information accuracy

You are responsible for accurate booking details (name, beneficiaries, session selection). Hospitals are responsible for session configuration and queue operations.

Lobby displays may show truncated names for privacy; do not rely on lobby screens for identity verification in sensitive contexts.

9. Regulatory status

Medikue’s payment model uses marketplace-style routing via Razorpay. Regulatory classification (including payment-aggregator or nodal-account requirements at scale) may evolve. This Disclaimer does not constitute legal or tax advice to hospitals or patients.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Longbyte (through Medikue) disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We may update this Disclaimer. Continued use constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
